Human beings are relational beings who operate while holding each other’s hands. You need the input, the smile, the encouragement and the support of others to survive. It’s okay when you do not have a lot of people in your circle but you need a strong network to form your support system.
You may not be lucky to have a vibrant inner circle yet you could be that person your neighbour needs. Everyone needs an extra ear, an extra shoulder, an extra eye and a hand to hold. This doesn’t imply that we should have been created with extra body parts. It simply means that God in the fullness of wisdom wanted us to live in harmony with one another; relating to one another in love.
If you don’t have a hand to hold, make yours available for someone and if you don’t have a shoulder to lean on, lend yours to your neighbour. Ties that bind must be held tightly.
